The Irrational Light Gallery functions as a photography gallery, promoting contemporary artists through exhibitions and events, as well as a publisher, producing photography books and portfolios and an art consultancy, advising clients on building photography collections and curating installations.

Originally founded as a physical gallery space in Catania, Italy by Igor Zeiger and Ivar van Emden, Irrational Light has expanded over the past decade into a multifarious global enterprise dedicated to contemporary art. Whilst still maintaining their Catania presense, Irrational Light now curates exhibitions round the world in galleries, museums, art fairs, and other venues; represents and manages a diverse roster of emerging and established artists; produces art-centric books and publications; and offers specialised art consulting services to clients building notable art collections. With feet planted in both the physical and digital art worlds, Irrational Light continues to push the boundaries and appreciation of contemporary artistic practice.
